Fatelocked prototype
This isn't the full game. It's just a prototype for me to figure out game mechanics and the game engine.
Controls
- WASD or ARROW KEYS to move
- A = ALT
- B = Crtl
- Select = Shift
- Start = Enter
v0.5 Changes
- Overhauled spirits and tiles
- Added ambient music and basic loops.
- Added battle system.
- Changed how L.A.S.S system is handled.
- L.A.S.S Points affect your max health points.
- Courage/fear system overhauled - you will flee from battles if courage points are too low.
- Added salt system on battle scenes.
- Room energies (Ki, Zen, Tau) overhauled, placing runes effect Ki-meter. Also, ghosts affect energies if nearby.
- Changed UI on equipment selection.
- Changed menu UI.
v0.4 Changes
- Added character generation.
- The playable character will be randomly generated.
- The playable character's name is generated, you can regenerate their name if you don't like it.
- L.A.S.S stats generate randomly too.
- Character lore is generated too.
- Static sound will play from the ki-meter to signal ghost is nearby.
- Resistance to attacks added.
- Runes will weaken spirit attacks much more.
- Added more emotes.
- Low Sanity and Low courage will cause the playable character to be erratic.
- There is a chance they can hurt themselves.
- Added "safe room" to restore sanity and courage.
- Character screen overhalled
- LASS and Character information are on two different screens.
- Added tutorial script.
- The tutorial only goes through the character and lass screens at the moment.
- Rune icons optimized
- The three runes only take up three tiles in the engine's "memory".
- Number to ASCII scripted added.
- This is for the text of the menu to work.
- Plans to adapt this further.
- Added title screen.
- Added a few sounds.
v0.3 Changes
- The menu reworked, now easier to select options.
- Rune book added, you can now draw runes on the floor. By selecting them from the book.
- Added equipment, only list below is working

- Ki-meter
- Drawing Runes will change the Zen,Ki,Tau values in a room. Placing an Energy Rune will lower the ki in the room.
- NPCs will now add to the Ki count (Mostly for lore reasons)
- Fixed an issue where Ki could go down to 0 or -1. If the player is in a room alone with no ghost then Ki will always be 1.
- Some sounds through the ki-meter, will lower your sanity and courage.
- Added overlay icon for the selected equipment.
- Added demo ghost for NPC scripts.
- Added emoticon when courage, health, or sanity is decreased.
- Redone the background of some menus.
- Optimized sprites to use duplicate tiles. This saves on performance and size.
This is a demo of Fatelocked. Here I'll be testing game mechanics and showing previews.
It's a game about ponies and ghosts.
